Separately, Grenville and Russell Houses are four-storey bar buildings on the Carleton Campus. The two buildings are connected in a T-shape by a glazed stairway and entrance area, and together with the newer Frontenac House, create the main courtyard for the north-side of the campus.
Russell House, oriented east-west, forms the north part of the “T”, while Grenville House makes up the southern portion, connecting into the middle of Russell House.
The buildings are identical to each other, each featuring the same dark brick, punched windows, and white window frames. The west facade of Grenville House and the south facade of Russell House both feature small concrete canopies over the windows.
More information on the Grenville-Russell House is available at the Related Resources.
