The Summit is a 6-storey apartment building in Ottawa’s Sandy Hill neighbourhood.
The building is largely clad in white brick, with blue spandrel panels between ribbon windows on the main facade. The top floor of The Summit is recessed and clad in the same blue panels used at the windows. A protruding flashing cap gives the effect of a cornice on the building.
The scale and materiality of the building set it apart from the surrounding orange-bricked context, standing much larger than the other buildings on Wilbrod St.
The Summit features a unique V-shaped canopy, supported by a simple frame of steel beams, to mark its entry.
